What’s a dekade?
During the French Revolution in 1793, all units of measurement were changed to numerals of 10, including decimal time. A décade, which consisted of 10 days, replaced the traditional week. To distinguish from the English word decade meaning 10 years, the German word dekade translates to 10 days.
