What is your favorite thing about working at Ritual?
I love how much I feel appreciated for the work that I do and the amount of support I receive from my leadership team. Ritual has been the best company I have been a part of, and I enjoy the culture we all share.
What’s your favorite drink?
That’s a tough one! I gotta give it to the Foggy Latte because I’m a sucker for a dirty London Fog. It’s one of the best drinks I’ve tasted at Ritual.
What’s your favorite coffee shop when you’re out of the Bay Area?
There’s a coffee shop called Two Persons in South Philly, and they have a great selection of roasters available as well as a knowledgeable staff.
What are your brewing technique tips or secrets?
No tips or secrets here, but if you haven’t tried the Pulsar, I highly recommend this brewer! It’s pretty forgiving and allows less coffee waste as well as less channeling.
What’s your first coffee memory?
The day I tried a light roast coffee a coworker made for me, and I thought it was so acidic that I put milk in it, thinking it would make it better, but it just curdled. I couldn’t understand why people drank light coffee for a long time. BUT some of the best cups of coffee I enjoy now are funky light roasts. You just don’t know how good coffee is until you give it time to appreciate.
Tell us about the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had?
This is a hard question because I’ve had so many “wow” moments with unique coffees. Every year Dak Coffee Roasters makes a spiced Christmas coffee that I will buy as soon as it comes out to until they run out!
What are your non-coffee interests?
I really enjoy exploring the Bay Area with my partner. We love visiting Napa/Sonoma vineyards as well as going all the way down to Monterey for a nice hike. We also enjoy the craft cocktail scene and we are always looking for a great spot. The best bar so far is Bar Iris in SF!

I just started to enjoy coffee in 2025! I made the transition to drinking just black coffee when I started working at Ritual.
