Cold Brew

The top Pro Tip we have for this method is patience.

Let that coffee mingle with cool water for a good 18 hours, no matter how excited you are.

The Hario Mizudashi Cold Brewer – a simple beauty that’s easy to brew, easy to clean up, and tastes full-bodied and sweet with pretty much any coffee. It also makes a mean iced tea. If you have a hankering for iced coffee, but forgot to get your Mizudashi brewing yesterday, we’ve included some suggestions for icing your other brew methods.

  5. Remove the mesh filter from the carafe and discard the spent grounds.

Iced Coffee in a Pinch

The general principle for making fresh iced coffee is to take around 1/3 of your hot water dose and replace it with ice in a glass, which will create smaller pours for drip methods. Then just pour the more concentrated hot brew over the glass of ice. Otherwise, your overall water dose, coffee dose, grind, and time should stay the same. Here are some quick recipes for brewing cold coffee with the other brew methods.
